Body Tattoo

This course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the professional practice of body tattooing, combining foundational theory with hands-on technical skill development. Students are introduced to the mechanics, components, and operation of tattoo machines, including an in-depth understanding of how these devices function in relation to skin anatomy and pigment application. Emphasis is placed on the correct selection, setup, and maintenance of tattoo equipment, as well as the safe and effective use of industry-standard tools and supplies.

Through guided practical training, students develop confidence and proficiency in using tattoo machines and related instruments while adhering to accepted professional standards within the tattoo industry. The course reinforces the role and responsibility of the tattoo artist in each stage of the tattooing process, from client consultation and design preparation to execution and post-procedure care awareness.

Students explore a range of tattoo styles and techniques, gaining an understanding of how different artistic approaches influence line work, shading, lettering, and overall composition. Instruction focuses on developing fundamental drawing and tattooing skills, including line accuracy, neatness, proportion, consistency, and precision. Particular attention is given to lettering techniques, line drawing, and basic design composition to ensure high-quality and visually balanced tattoo outcomes.

A critical component of the course is infection prevention and control. Students receive instruction in proper sterilization, sanitation, and hygiene practices to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and client safety. Topics include equipment sterilization, workspace preparation, and compliance with industry health and safety standards, reinforcing professional accountability and best practices in body tattooing.
