The Spa Business and Management course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to successfully manage and operate a spa or salon business, as well as to support long-term career growth within the wellness and beauty industry. This course emphasizes both business fundamentals and interpersonal effectiveness, preparing students to meet the expectations of modern employers and clients in a competitive marketplace.

Students will develop a strong understanding of spa and salon operations, including customer service excellence, scheduling, inventory control, retail sales strategies, basic financial concepts, and workplace professionalism. Special emphasis is placed on effective communication skills, which are critical in handling challenging workplace situations, managing teams, resolving conflicts, and building positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Using a practical, vocational approach, students will refine their professional writing and verbal communication skills, learn how to deliver difficult or negative information tactfully, and practice persuasive communication using appropriate business formats and indirect communication patterns. Learners will also strengthen their research and organizational skills to create clear, well-structured documents that support business decisions and professional presentations.

The course further supports career readiness by guiding students through the development of a competitive job search package, including résumés, cover letters, interview preparation, and professional self-presentation.
